This year we helped Michael Del Valle and family. As a state organization, were able to provide financial assistance in the amount of $4,784.02. 

Michael wrote an update that he asked to have shared with Multiples of Illinois.

Hi Heather, 

Thanks for checking in. First, I want to thank you and your organization for supporting me and my family in my fight against chronic kidney disease. Your financial support was very helpful in paying off bills.  

I have been keeping myself busy doing artwork. I was part of an opening last Friday for a group exhibition in Chicago. 

In regard to my transplant. I did receive offers to receive pancreas/kidney organs from donors but unfortunately, after further diagnosis, they didn't work out. But I'm keeping my hopes that a match will come soon. Fingers crossed.
